Well what a day today turned out to be. Sometimes you just have to find the positive in life. Even when things seem out of sorts. If you love PNW hiking and nature you'll enjoy today's vlog. But, be warned, the day ended on a less than fun note. From my channel: "What started out as a fun day hike turned less fun and more scary. NEW Merch: https://goo.gl/enWfg5 My sci-fi and romance novels: https://www.amazon.com/R-M-Kelly/e/B0... My Breastfeeding Guide for Gentle Parents: https://www.amazon.com/Milkosaurus-Ge... My Adults Only Self-Care Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/RoseKelly" We headed for a What I Ate Wednesday Hike and then had a slightly wild pizza party. It might have rained most of the day but it was good to find ways to stay upbeat and entertained. This has been such a wet June. It just keeps raining. But, at least the garden is getting water. What is the weather where you live? Being kind to our fellow mamas or spending time judging. Can you say that lately you haven't been judging more than normal? Come along for today's daily. I was watching Myka Stauffer's video about giving up an adopted son because of his special needs. It got me thinking and I wanted to chat in part of today's vlog. I rarely go into details but we've had our hard moments with Abraham. He has a lot of big needs that can be hard to meet but it's rewarding to push ahead and build a good foundation for him. It can't be an easy choice and I see such harsh words about this. Let's be kind. It's simple but not easy. In all the concerns caused by staying home we've also been gifted with the chance to be more present in our children's lives. One big topic I work hard to teach my son about is gratitude. Today I'm sharing a printable that you can fill out with your kids. It's a wonderful chance to open up about the power of gratitude to make us happier. It can be hard to find silver linings in all this worry and stress but showing our children we can still be grateful for parts of lives gives them a powerful tool for the rest fo their lives. Let's live with gratitude, even for the small things in our lives. What has made you feel grateful today?
