Some New Year’s I feel great and ready to take on the world. This year I’ve felt more toned down, a little tired out from a hard year and filled with a growing desire to find more joy in every part of my life.
Often, I feel like it is easy to coast on through the years but when we get hit on the head with tough truths sometimes it wakes each of us up to taking chances and making things better.
The biggest thing I’m looking forwards to in January is playing with my son more, he’s just now getting to an age where he wants to play games that are filled with imagination and conversations; it’s such fun. I got a bunch of art supplies so he and I can create things with his favorite art supply: Glue.
It is a fun, steamy story surrounded by the paranormal world of playful witches and love. What’s a little magic if there’s no love, after all?
What are you most looking forwards to in this brand new year?
Hopefully this year holds a lot more playfulness, maybe a few extra hugs and a little less stress. It’s never easy to put your life out there and with my work I’m pretty open, with that comes a lot of negativity that does wear me down. So this year I’m looking forwards to balancing it all with a bit more lightheartedness.
