Look at a dog, they are fully in the moment. There is no concern with what will come in five minutes or five years. Toss out your ten year plan and accept that any control you believe you have over your life is an illusion. Break the illusion and liberate your heart to live freely in each second.

Life is too short to not put the effort in where it matters. Taking in the moment, living fully not for what has been or could be but what is, right now, that will bring out the joy already within you.
