Self Care at Christmas for the Pregnant Mommy to Be
We are better people when we take a moment to hug ourselves and give our bodies a little tending. Whether you can get a massage, a manicure or sit alone by the window reading a good (or trashy) book taking a moment to recharge can change your holidays from stressful to joyful.
Pregnancy takes a big toll on our bodies and minds. Prepare for the arrival of your little gummybear by relaxing and taking it all a bit easier this year. Your life is about to change big time, the focus so shifting towards another life that you will feel lucky to shower every week. Do not feel self indulgent just for relaxing and getting off your feet while all your friends and relatives run around life crazy. Go easy, be happy and enjoy quiet moments feeling that little person move around as you watch Christmas movies.
Warm up a big mug of full fat milk and sprinkle nutmeg and cinnamon into it. Sit by the tree with your feet up and slowly sip your milk.
Bundle up and take a walk along store lined streets (or the mall) and have fun watching all the craziness from afar.
Take yourself out for a movie and pre-mommy and me date. Grab a gooey, warm sandwich, some hot coco and watch a fun movie with a full tummy. See if the little bean-sprout kicks when you get excited at the film or with sips of hot coco.
