The best yogurts
Trader Joe’s makes its own house brand yogurt which is not quite as rich as brown cow but about the same consistency. Trader Joe's is good for mixing with granola, as it needs something to sop up the liquid.
Brown Cow has a creamy rich texture with a nice, fully fating top layer. Not as thick as a strong batch of Nancy's but I find brown cow is easier to get none-yogurt-eaters to enjoy.
Chobani has a weird chalky aftertaste and is oddly null of favor. While Brown Cow has a sweet tang and Nancy’s has a tart quality, Chobani has no real zest of flavor.
Nancy’s is probably the strongest in tartness of the store bought yogurts I am listing. If you purchase the full fat and get a good batch Nancy's offers my favorite thickness for fruit and trail mix which is a favorite snack as a nursing (AKA bottomless pit) momma.
The bottom line is brown cow is a good introduction and Nancy's is my and my son's favorite yogurt for our daily snacks and nibbles.
