Natural Herbal Remedies for Neck Pain
Neck Pain relief exercise:
Try using a medium sized yoga ball. Make sure you have the yoga ball in a position where you won't slip and slide and fall off the ball. Lay first with stomach on the ball, kneeling so that your head and shoulders are completely relaxed and hanging over the edge of the ball. Let your arms stretch out and your neck be fully relaxed. Keep this position for a minute and then pull your arms back to the side of the yoga ball. Roll your body forwards slightly and while keeping your upper body relaxed. Allow your neck and shoulders to relax into this pose.
The second step is to lay on the yoga ball with your back pressed into the arch of the ball. Let your head dangle off the ball while keeping your shoulders well postured along the edge of the ball.
By stretching and relaxing neck muscles you will not always need to turn to over-the-counter or prescription pain killers for neck issues. Managing without medication is a great goal and one that can be worked towards. Sometimes the best solution will be found by looking at the causes and finding natural, medicated ways to deal with soreness, aches and pains. Do you spend a lot, be honest, of time looking from odd agles at a screen? How about driving? Too much time spent in one neck position, especially if it is a tense position such as stressful commuting can jam up your neck and cause lingering pain problems.
Do not over massage or rub the shore spot. You don't want to cause bruising. Do try reflexology. The points on the foot corresponding to tightness and pain in the neck are under the big toe, towards the webbing and the outer range right under your pinkie toe.
Apply pressure to the area on the foot and rub in increasing pressure based circles. Try the lightest pressure first and see how that feels. Is it tender or outright painful? Adjust your reflexology points according to your body's reaction and always be careful with pressure point massage.
