Natural Dog Tummy Solutions
When your furbaby eats something they shouldn't, cat poop and socks don't count as a fiber serving, feed them 1/4 cup peroxide to induce vomiting or if it is just too much of something that will not kill them you can try natural relief for their tummy aches.
Doggie massage for tummy troubles includes lots of hands-on work but can be very beneficial to your pet. Lay their bottom on a pillow so that their head (and cute little ears) is slightly downward, lean them onto their sides and rub the belly in slow circular motions towards their rear. Rub down to thighs, pulling very slightly from tummy to leg joint and down leg. Repeat and add in a few of fluffer's favorite spots for pleasure.
Your furbaby's paws can give them stomach ache relief. Their left hand in the lower middle paw can be gently massaged for a dog reflexology release for his little tummy pains. Gently use your thumb and index and middle finger to rub downward towards his paw, then press lightly on the left paw on the outer side right under his last toe joint in the squishy part of his paw pad.
Mint leafs can be given whole and the dog can chew on them to help settle a tummy ache. If the green taste offends your furbaby try mixing in cut leaves with yogurt. A tablespoon of yogurt to three mint leafs is a safe ratio. If you have a dog like mine who will eat anything and everything that vaguely fits in his mouth then you can make this mixture ahead of time and use it throughout the month.
Just as peppermint tea can help settle our human discomforts tea can also be given to dogs. You will need to steep the tea for up to five minutes in a small amount of water and, depending on your animal's tastes, either feed by hand or place a small bowel for them to drink out of. Do not add any sweeteners to the tea as that can be harmful to your dog.
You can also grind up Tums or spoon feed pepto bismol.
