Shorter Than The Wick

Q&A with R.M. Kelly
I played around with a lot of titles but Shorter Than The Wick finely came up as a fun nod towards the collection being of short, readable stories that you could read before the candle wick burnt out at night.
Do you have a favorite story from this collection?
The story about an ageless vampire dealing with the emotionally regressed modern world is pretty funny whenever I read over it again.
How do you feel about the crossover of your e-stories into web shows?
I think it's great, I really write with the hope that people will enjoy what they're reading.
Are you working on any new projects?
Yes I am, in fact my new novel comes out this summer, The House's Secret, which is a mystery romance about a medium who travels to England to cleanse an old manor only to find things are never what she thinks they are.
You live in Southern California, do you find it's a good place to get inspired?
Well yes and no. There is great people watching here, you get a lot of types of people wandering around but it can be harder to synthesize all that information into good stories.
I find just keeping my eyes open, wherever I may be is the best way to keep getting inspired to write fun work.
