Durning experiences of trauma focusing all our chaotic energy into a thoughtful form will help you feel less out of control and be able to manage your emotions with a deeper sense of direction. If you can get the free time for a retreat, either solo or with a group, releasing yourself from the normal social contract for a short while can be so helpful is directing your focus towards learning to live a more peaceful and purposeful life. Take the time you have and go somewhere quiet in nature and feel all the sensations, hear all the sounds and watch the colors of the day pass around you. Learn to ask in pray for a little guidance when you need it and to follow your heart, that inner voice when it calls out to be heard.
By learning to give ourselves room in pray we can begin to learn how to listen to our own voice, the guidance within us from god that we so often block out. How many times have you wished you listened to that inner voice? Find time in each day to pray to whomever you wish and let go of any ego asking for something to happen. Rather pray for goodness within and without.
