Remember they are desperate to keep you dependent on them. You are strong. You will make it. The darkness does not last.

Once you are ready to embrace the journey into happiness you can finely talk about the personal challenge of getting your life to where you want it. Take each morning to say out loud that you are loved by your own heart and that is all you need for now. By reaffirming the love you have decided to give yourself you will slowly rewrite your own brain; changing the way you act and react. Realizing the abuse has stopped but that there are patterns which you have allowed to permeate your life lets you start the fight to not allow those patterns to continue.
Time is your friend so allow the days to flow by as you learn to love your whole self. Regaining self esteem is no easy fete and be gentle as you slowly find footing once more.
