Where did that lump come from? God, so don’t be ungrateful for the beauty and strength that he endowed you with.
Male or female take a moment to look in a full-length mirror while naked, no socks, and tell your reflection how grateful you are to be alive and in this body, it is the only one of its kind and awesome beyond understanding.
What is your favorite part of your body? Find a part of your body that you really enjoy and think on it for a moment, how lovely it is and how useful our whole form is.
In realizing that we don’t need to be perfect, that it is an insane pursuit to catch perfection we realize that joy is truly found in the imperfections of a moment or a body or a person. Don’t hold on to the ideas you were given as child or a young adult that meant you had to be a certain way. Allow the inner part of your self to blossom and do not feel as though you need to be infinitely strong all the time. Weakness is not a bad thing, it is part of the human condition. We should embrace our bodies as we embrace our humanity; with gusto and glee for the chance to exist for a short time as slightly hairless monkeys dancing around a big ball of fire.
While you’ll learning to appreciate your lovely or handsome self take care of that wonderful form; don’t starve your body or eat cupcakes all day. A woman does not need to be 110 lbs and a man does not need to be made of steel. We are natural beings, blessed with a lifetime to find happiness and this is our first step, exploring the form we came in. Have fun with the adventure of retuning your mind to love your body. Don’t feel pressure when the naggingly negative voice comes in, it’s bound to and it’s only human.
For men please drop the axe body spray, it doesn’t attract anything other than bugs. Women will not run from you if you don’t look like an action star or have a CEO’s wallet. Women, the good ones, value above all else kindness in sprit and will overlook a lot of things to find a man who is kind. Put effort into cultivating your inherent kindness and your humor about being on this crazy world.
Work on the inner while you work on the outer. While men are now increasingly expected to be as high maintenance on their self body image as women have been for decades now seems like the best time to stop that self-conscious search for beauty nirvana and accept ourselves for all that we are.
Ladies put down the blusher and pick up a smile. Men love a natural face and they don’t care that you’ve got a few lines or a bump, they’re just happy to be with you.
As you work on loving the outer learn to enjoy the inner you. You do not need to be perfect, you don’t even need to be close. Kindness goes a long way in anyone’s eyes to make you more beautiful than you could imagine.
