Solvang Food Crawl
Ingeborg’s was the mid-way break for me on this food crawl. I strapped my little boy into his stroller and my crawler friends and I grabbed a few pieces of chocolate and headed to sit outside under the cover that still lingers from an old merry ground that is since lost to the past. The caramels with nuts were great, the peanut butter cups a bit unwieldy but good and the chocolate nibbles perfectly dark and dry. If you are less inclined to sit outside take the chocolates over to the many tasting rooms and pair each chocolate with a wine tasting.
Chomp is right by the little mermaid stature atop a fountain and offers a good spot for burgers and milk shakes. I had a date there once where the guy needed to sit in only one corner of the place, had to eat everything without a bun because he was on a "diet" and glared when I ordered a milk shake because of the sugar. If you don't mind gluten, sugar and a fun atmosphere pop into Chomp's and enjoy a simple, tasty meal.
Head over to the Solvang Bakery and grab a 1/4 slice of Kringle to munch on while you stroll around the tiny Danish village and watch all the Chinese tourists and amazing uses for selfie sticks the world presents us with.
